The Stairmate Standard is a safe and easy to use, portable wheelchair lift designed to attach under most manual wheelchairs. It is powered stair climber for transferring a disabled passenger who cannot walk up and down the stairs. Device can be disassembled into 3 components (Drive unit, Handle part, Battery pack) and can easily be loaded into a car. Detachable support handle is for compact storage and easy transport. Wheelchair can easily be mounted and dismounted from the device. Stairmate can hold up to 650 stairs on one charge. Machine can be used, when electrical power fails or is not available and it easily stores in a secure area when not in use. This simple, battery-powered device requires an assistant person for operation. Stairmate Standard needs very little space to turn on small stair landings of 1100 x 1120 mm. Machine cannot be used on spiral staircases, curved staircases, staircase angles exceeding 35 degrees and stairs with rough edges. The rubber crawlers protect the scratching of steel, concrete, carpet and even wooden stairs. Stairmate can be equipped with ramp for prams transport, eventually atypical manual wheelchairs. Machine is standardly supplied with a safety belt, removable battery pack and charger. Stairmate requires minimal maintenance and it is available immediately.
